Agenda

1) Review Minutes of previous meeting.

The minutes were reviewed and agreed to be a fair and accurate representation of the meeting.

2) Review Treasurers Report

As the treasurer was absent the Secretary presented a brief summary of the accounts which had been posted by the Treasurer to the club web pages in Excel format. The value of the club units at the end of November is 142p. This is a significant increase on last month due to the bullishness of the technical stocks.

3) Review of current holdings

The secretary gave a review of his discoveries of what the "Chartists" get up to, by describing the benefits of the "Stoploss" and "Golden Cross" charts. A number of charts were presented of shares either currently held or which have been discussed.

8.1 (LW) Undertake Golden Cross analysis for a few Brewery stocks e.g. Bass, S & N, Whitbread.

8.2 (LW) Undertake Golden Cross analysis for a few members of the retail market e.g. M & S, Boots etc.

4) Review Investment proposals

This week was declared "Wild and Wicked Week", with the group taking on the Christmas Spirit and aiming to select a really "wacky" share.

Wez made the following suggestions ...

The share is expected to rise dramatically due to the wild parties at the start of the Millennium.

Don suggested Culver (CVE), an insurance investor which has recently made significant progress. Robin suggested Birchin International a penny share which run courses in finance. Netcall were suggested as were Filtronic (Dave) who had recently posted a profit warning.
